Rib City Grill will be at the Highland Fling again this year.

This year’s Highland Fling will be bigger and better with new activities!  On Saturday, August 6th the day will be filled with non-stop excitement with Hot Air Balloons, 5K and Kids Fun Runs, LPHS Marching Band Pancake Breakfast, Parade, Vendor Booths, DUP Cabin Camp Cabin Tours, Highland Youth City Council Kids Zone (inflatables), BMX Stunt Team, Fireman’s Spray,  all day Heritage Park Stage Entertainment featuring Artie Hemphill & the Iron Horse Band followed by Fireworks!

Make sure to stop by our booth when you get hungry on Saturday.

My sister is an acting teacher, my dad is a director and my brother (Vincent D’Onofrio) is an actor on Law and Order CI. On the restaurant side I am a third generation restaurateur, with my grandfather the first to open an Italian restaurant in Hawaii. I have grown up with one foot in the entertainment business and the other running restaurants. I have been a regular on local Salt Lake City TV and now I am looking to take it up a notch at get on Network TV.

With the goal of promoting my restaurant and the great town of American Fork, I am starting my journey into the world of Reality TV. Local Joints TV came in last week to spotlight our restaurant and we are glad they did. Check out the video. It is a little long, but they did a great job.

Darin” Doc” Bernston started Local Joints TV because he wanted to combine his love for video production, cooking shows on TV, and interest in working with local businesses.

Stay tuned for more details. The fundraiser will be Sept. 18, and raise money for detoxification treatments for police officers. A number of former or current Utah police officers have ben exposed methamphetamine labs or finished drugs left them with cancers, neurological problems and other assorted ailments. A few dozen have undergone the detoxification treatment, which utilizes a regimen of exercise and a diet of antioxidants.
